How it works
In plain terms.
Kormiia™ pairs a fast-onset PDE5 inhibitor (sildenafil) with a long-acting one (tadalafil) in a single preparation. There is no FDA-approved product that combines the two, which is why it is compounded: a pharmacist prepares it for your prescription, at the strength your prescriber chooses.
How to take it
- Take exactly as your prescriber directs; the strength and timing are set for you.
- Never combine it with another PDE5 inhibitor.
- The nitrate and riociguat warnings apply in full.
What to expect
- Onset similar to sildenafil; duration extended by the tadalafil component.
- Because it is made for you, your prescriber can adjust the strength between fills.
- Compounded products are not tested by the FDA. Your prescriber and pharmacist will discuss what that means before you start.
Not for
- Anyone taking nitrates or riociguat.
- Men whose doctor has advised against sexual activity because of heart problems.
- Anyone under 18, and women.
- Anyone who would rather use an FDA-approved product; sildenafil and tadalafil are available.

Sildenafil and tadalafil (including Kormiia™)
Sildenafil and tadalafil are PDE5 inhibitors. Kormiia™ is a compounded combination of the two prepared by our licensed compounding pharmacy; compounded drugs are not FDA approved. FDA-approved generic sildenafil and tadalafil are also available by prescription.
- Do not take with nitrates (nitroglycerin, isosorbide, or recreational "poppers") or with riociguat. The combination can cause a sudden, unsafe drop in blood pressure.
- Tell your prescriber about alpha-blockers, other blood-pressure medications, and any heart condition. Sexual activity puts extra strain on the heart; ask whether it is safe for you.
- Seek emergency care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or for sudden loss of vision or hearing.
- Common side effects: headache, flushing, upset stomach, nasal congestion, back or muscle pain (tadalafil), temporary blue-tinted vision (sildenafil).
- Not for use by women or anyone under 18. Do not use with other ED medications.

Why compounded instead of two separate tablets?
Convenience and a prescriber-set ratio in one dose. Some patients prefer it; some prefer the FDA-approved generics. Both are offered and your prescriber will explain the trade-off.
Is it tested?
Compounded preparations are prepared under California Board of Pharmacy and USP standards by a licensed pharmacist. They are not reviewed or approved by the FDA, and we say so everywhere it appears.
Can I get it without the consultation?
No. Every compounded medication is prepared for a named patient from a prescriber's order.
